Endacopia Items & Inventory Guide
Reference for Endacopia items: doors.exe, cheese, the telescope, the Metal Detector and more — where to find each and what it unlocks. Spoiler-controlled where needed.
Endacopia's inventory stays small, but its items carry most of the game's puzzle logic. The design principle to internalize: items are invitations. If the game gives you something odd, it will almost certainly matter later — often in a room you've already visited. Wrong combinations are effectively free, so the optimal strategy is aggressive experimentation. Steam puts it best in the official feature list: fill your pockets with “tools, toys, gadgets, and trash.”
Confirmed Items
| Item | Where found | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| doors.exe | Prologue — Mellow's room computer | Program you open to leave the room: run it, click the one unlocked door. (Log in as Mellow first.) |
| Cheese | Early areas | Lures the cockroach out — kill it for coins. Small problem: Mellow is allergic to cheese. |
| Telescope | Chapter 1 | Only shows anything at night, at the small shed by the cliff. See the Telescope puzzle. |
| Eye scanner | Jail area (night only) | Used after sneaking past the pig at night — part of the telescope chain. |
| Metal Detector | Chapter 2 — the Circus | After Timesville closes down, use it at the Circus to locate the main boss. |
| More items are added as each is verified against the current build — the full list isn't guessed. | ||
Inventory Tips
- Nothing expires. Items stay useful after their "main" use — several achievements require revisiting old areas with late-game items.
- Re-scan old rooms after every new item. This is the single highest-value habit in the game — the stuck checklist on the walkthrough page is built around it.
- Examine the items themselves. Several of the game's six classic blockers are "an item not examined" — inspect inventory objects, don't just use them.
- Stuck with a full inventory? The item you're not thinking about is the answer — take the puzzle hints one level at a time.
